Roig Arena, inaugurated in 2025, is a complex with a surface area of 58,500 m², fully financed by Juan Roig. From an architectural perspective, it was designed by HOK and ERRE, while in the structural discipline sbp and GmásP collaborated.

Structurally, the project combines reinforced concrete and structural steel. The foundation slab consists of more than 1,300 prefabricated piles with pile caps under the highest-load columns. The structure of the “bowl” is mostly solved with steel framing and hollow-core slab floors. This steel structure is braced by four reinforced concrete cores located at the corners, which also enable vertical circulation between floors.

Annexed to the main volume, at one corner is the auxiliary training court, and at the opposite corner the multifunctional hall, both resolved with trusses to span the large distances. Above the multifunctional hall lies one of the most unique features of the entire venue: a post-tensioned slab forming a cantilever of 13 meters, shaping the terraces that will serve the gastronomy areas.

Covering the main bowl, eight 110-meter-span trusses form the roof of the Arena. Finally, wrapping around the entire building, there is a parametric façade made of ceramic louvers with backlighting.
