DESCRIPTION: Structure designed to support a string of 2×19 photovoltaic panels

The present project described the structures designed for a string of photovoltaic solar panels near Samarkand, Uzbekistan.
This structure supports a string of 2×19 photovoltaic panels, with approximate solar collection dimensions 4x19m. The slope of the surface is 30º, it is calculated to maximize the sun exposure according to the location. The provided solution consists on a double-post structure.
The structure consists on braced frames formed by cold formed profiles supporting two pairs of longitudinal purlins on which lay the photovoltaic panels. Each of the frames is supported by two driven piles also performed by cold formed profiles.
